I have been a loyal Billsby customer for over three years. I am extremely dissatisfied and frustrated with the current situation. I am receiving the following error message when attempting to process payments: “Your environment (NoLxkvv9xuY9DnI6mGp6YsgpIDR) has not been activated for real transactions with real payment methods. If you're using a Test Gateway you can ONLY use Test payment methods - ( https://docs.spreedly.com/reference/test-data ). All other credit card numbers are considered real credit cards; real credit cards are not allowed when using a Test Gateway.” To be clear: I have never operated in a "Test" environment. My payment processor is 5 Star Processing. I’ve confirmed with their support team that everything on their end is functioning correctly. I also contacted Authorize.net , who verified that my API credentials and transaction key are accurate and active—just as they have been for the past three years. Again, no issues were found on their end. My subscription was processed without issue on the 19th, and the system was functioning normally until now. Due to this unresolved error, I have already lost over $1,000 in revenue and narrowly avoided losing an additional $1,500 today by implementing a temporary workaround. If this continues into tomorrow, our small business stands to lose even more revenue. I reached out to Billsby support during regular business hours and still have not received a response. The in-portal chat clearly indicates no activity from your team since 07/23/2025. As of today—07/25/2025—there has been zero engagement or assistance, despite this being during the business week. Additionally: My monthly subscription of $79.45 processed successfully on 07/19/2025. Your Calendly scheduling links are not working, making it impossible to escalate this issue or speak with someone directly. This situation is unacceptable. I need immediate assistance to resolve this issue and prevent further financial damage. Please treat this with the urgency it deserves.

Hi Billsby Support, We are currently experiencing a serious issue with our account. We are unable to add new clients or process any payments. Every time we try to add a card, we receive an error saying the environment is not activated for real transactions and only test cards are allowed. Also, we keep getting logged out of the admin panel right after entering the security code. This is causing major delays, and we are losing clients because of it. We’ve tried clearing cache, using different browsers, and checking our payment gateway settings—but the problem still persists. Your live chat has also been unavailable since yesterday, and we haven’t received any support. Please treat this as urgent and help us fix the issue as soon as possible. Thank you, Therese

Customers are required to give a notice period for cancelling their subscriptions. This could be configurable in plan setup.

Add the ability to create a late fee for invoices that aren't paid on time.

Add the customer's card type, last 4 digits and expiry date to the customer details API request. This would allow companies to retrieve and display up to date card information to their customers using the API and webhooks, including their free trial customers that don't have an invoice yet (so are unable to use the individual invoices API request to get any card information)
